Winnipeg Blue Bombers donate 156k to Football Manitoba


The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are pleased to announce that in 2011 another record has been broken. With the generosity of its loyal fans through its 50/50 program, a record setting donation of $156,000 has been donated to Football Manitoba on behalf of the Winnipeg Football Club.

Since 2002, the Blue Bombers have donated over 1.2 million dollars to Football Manitoba
supporting amateur football in Manitoba and western Ontario.

β€œThe Winnipeg Football Club has always been a big supporter of amateur football in our
province,” said Blue Bomber Chief Operating Officer Jim Bell. β€œWe are always proud to
be able to help out our young athletes and coaches through Football Manitoba and are
very excited to present them with this record-setting amount based on our 50/50 sales
from last season.”

With Football registration continuing to climb at record setting highs at all age levels and
an expanding female program, the Blue Bombers continue to support player and coach
development through Football Manitoba and its programs.

β€œFootball Manitoba is proud of our strong partnership with the Blue Bombers,” said
Football Manitoba Executive Director Ron East. β€œFunds received through the 50/50
program enable us to continue to provide exceptional development opportunities for our
players and our coaches. It is this form of community support which ensures the
