Winnipeg high school season begins tonight with 7 games (schedule)


Winnipeg High School Football League’s (WHSFL) 43 team begin regular season play today with 7 senior varsity games on the slate. The Oak Park Raiders is the defending AAA champs and start their season tomorrow when they visit the Sisler Spartans.

With three new Junior Varsity teams added to River East, Kelvin and Brandon’s Vincent Massey, the WHSFL now totals 43 squads. Stonewall dropped out.

The Murdoch MacKay Clansmen have moved up to the AAA John Potter Division, replacing the River East Kodiaks, who dropped down to the AA Kas Vidruk.
