Winnipeg recruit opts for Huskies (VIDEO)

Winnipeg defensive lineman joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

Brett Schulz will remain in the Prairies for his CIS career.

However, he will be moving provinces.

The 5ā€™11, 275 pound defensive lineman from Swan River, Manitoba has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.Ā  Schulz will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

Ultimately, there were a couple of reasons why he chose the Huskies.

ā€œI chose University of Saskatchewan simply for the culture and personality of the coaches that I was able to see on my trip,ā€ explained Schulz. Ā ā€œI love the facilities and the gear as well. Sees like a team I can call home.ā€

Recently, the defensive lineman (played defensive nose/tackle positions) completed a stint with Winnipeg Rifles of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football Conference (CJFL).
