Winnipeg receiver joins AUS team’s 2015 class

Griffin Shillingford is making a move to the Atlantic Coast.

The 6’1 175 pound receiver who resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba has signed with the Mount Allison Mounties. Shillingford will join the team for the 2015 AUS season.

β€œI decided to commit to Mount Allison for a number of reasons,” explained Shillingford of his decision. β€œFirst and foremost, Mount A interests me because of its history of being a great academic university.”

β€œThe class size, teacher to student ratio, and campus size are all reasons that factored into my decision. I love the fact that the university is situated in such a tight-knit community as well. Athletically, I chose Mount A because from the moment I stepped on campus, I felt like I was a part of the Mountie Family. All the players seem to get along really well with each other, on and off field.”
