WOLFE: How can the defence keep up in the new offensive world

I start with an explanation as to why I would write an article for CFC that is loaded with current strategies and techniques. The game is changing on both sides of the ball and precipitates that athletes, parents, and coaches decide the best position to play. For example, is there much of a future playing as a fullback?

My previous column pointed to the huge advantage offenses currently have over the defense. I argued that rule changes have helped and that offensive coaches have gotten ever more creative using the zone read and RPOs. Additionally, analytics show that passing is more efficient than running. Finally, today’s QBs are far better trained than ever.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
