EventsI found the lead up to the NFL draft to be very interesting on many levels. Almost any football event is exciting to me; especially during the offseason, and the NFL do a great job with hype. They are as good as it gets with promotions, and have created a festival like atmosphere surrounding their draft. The draft has become big business. How big – over 100,000 fans attended day 1 in the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas; it was estimated that over 250,000 had attended the 3 day event. Due to the excitement created and the potential financial windfall, several cities are bidding for future drafts.
