WOLFE: Rourke vs. Ford … Is 4 down development better than 3 down?

BC Lions Canadian FPC QB Nathan Rourke’s sensational start has been a bright spot for the CFL. After five games, Rourke leads all CFL QBs in virtually every statistic. Another Canadian QB, rookie CFC100 Tre Ford of the Edmonton Elks has also started a game, but unfortunately will miss some time with an injury.

While all scribes appear to be excited that a Canadian is not only starting for the BC Lions, he is also playing at a very high level. It is interesting to point out that BC’s backup QB is yet another Canuck, CFC100 Michael O’Connor. There is, however, some controversy surrounding Rourke’s route to the CFL.
