This article is based on the convergence of two disassociated events. The 1st – another one-sided Bowl game loss for an AUS team; the 2nd the recent retirement of Tantramar (Sackville NB) head coach Scott O’Neal.
The most recent Uteck Bowl, saw the RSEQ champion University of Montreal Carabins beat AUS Champs the Acadia Axemen 38-0. This was the 13th consecutive loss for the Maritime Conference, and many of the games have been one-sided. It is not only the Quebec winners who have dominated the AUS, but the Ontario & Canada West representatives have also beaten the Eastern representatives.
