Women regional championship: Team Saskatchewan wins opener (video)

Team Sask women’s tackle football team participating in the National Challenge Cup in Montreal, Quebec, defeated Team Alberta 41-0 in the first match of the tournament.

Erin Banbury of Regina hauled in three touchdown passes and was named game MVP. Touchdowns were also scored by Julie David, Clare Dore and Mallory Starkey. Team Sask will play their next game at 3:00pm today.
