Alfred Olay is a quiet, unassuming kid, by looking at him, you wouldn’t assume he plays football.

Alfred does however play the sport, he began playing in grade nine for the Holy Trinity Titans of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA) as well as the Oshawa Hawkeyes of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) later on.

The 5’8, 135 pound receiver began playing because of his brother, Alex Olay, and shared a very special season with his brother this year.

“The highlight of last season and was having the chance to play with my brother Alex because he is the reason I even started playing football,” reflected Olay.

Alfred also has a very close source of inspiration throughout his career.

“The most influential person in my life is Alex,” said Alfred. “He is always pushing me to do better and be the best I can and also just watching how much and how hard he trains makes me want to do the same and become better.”

As far as school and careers go, the Hawkeye product is keeping his options open.

“I have no idea what I want to do school wise but I’ll do the best I can to get into a University and let my career go from there,” added Alfred.

As for training, Olay has begun training alongside his brother at “The Barn” a training facility operated by his high school coach, Brad Chalmers.

“Working out at the gym, eating right, watching game film, going to the field and practice some footwork.” Listed Olay, speaking to his training regimen this coming offseason.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
