The Saint Francis Xavier X-Men have announced their second wave of recruits for the teamβs 2014 class.
National representation is prominent in this group of 23 recruits β 13 comes from Ontario, four from Nova Scotia, three from Alberta, two from British Columbia and one from New Brunswick.
βThis second wave of recruits adds to what we feel is an outstanding recruiting class,β commented X-Men Head Coach Gary Waterman.Β βEach of these guys represents the type of student-athletes that we want associated with our program.β
βI am excited to watch them grow and mature together as a group over the next several years.β
Moreover, the X-Men landed two CFC TOP 100 recruits.Β Running back Dejon Lynch (Nanaimo, British Columbia) and wide receiver Darryl Jean (Oakville, Ontario) are in this elite group.
βThe 2nd wave of recruits is an exceptional group of talented, high character and tough student athletes,β added X-Men Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach Gord Gallimore.Β βThis group includes 2 CFC TOP 100 players, some regional players of the year, and regional all stars.β
βThis is a very competitive group that understand the process and they will continue to work hard to get better and better.β
With the mission accomplished in achieving their recruitment goals, the X-Men are looking forward to seeing the impact these recruits will make in future years on the team.
