Yates Cup visions (VIDEO)

Bowmanville defensive back signs with OUA team.

From the moment Darby Bradley stepped foot on the University of Windsor campus, he felt comfortable.

Consequently, the 6’2, 205 pound defensive back from Bowmanville, Ontario recently signed with the Windsor Lancers for the 2014 OUA season.

“I committed to Windsor because of the welcoming feeling I got on my visit,” recalled Bradley.  “The coaches and players made me feel right at home and answered all of my questions.”
“The football program is on the upswing and I hope to be a big part of that in the future. I’ve talked to a lot of other recruits and we all have the same goal and that is to win a Yates Cup and then ultimately a Vanier Cup. I believe that the Windsor football program is on an upswing under Coach (Joe) D’ amore and that we are poise for great things in the near future.”

Bradley joins the Lancers after completing his high school career with St. Stephen Royals of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA). During the 2013 season, he caught nine interceptions in six games with the Royals.

In addition to the Royals, the defensive back has suited up for the Oshawa Hawkeyes of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). In six games with the Hawkeyes, Bradley caught five interceptions.
