York adds one provincial commit and one out-of-province commit to their 2019 class.
CFC100 receivers Jaxon Hume from Harry Ainlay High School and Retsen Daley from St. Francis High School will be bringing their talents to the York Lions for the 2019 season and beyond.
CFC100 Jaxon Hume
Jaxon Hume is ready to develop with the York Lions. βI chose to commit to York because it was the best place to be for me in terms of my own personal growth on and off the field,β Hume said.
βI have a very deep respect for the York coaching staff,β he added. βCoach Kamau Petersonβs offensive system is what drew me closely as well as his long resume of athletes that he has coached to success.β
In terms of academics, Hume is interested in taking media and cinematic arts.
Hume calls Edmonton, Alberta, home. He played with the Harry Ainlay Titans (MEHSFL) as a slotback and receiver. The 6β0, 175lbs athlete was named to the 2017 and 2018 all-Canadian 1st-team and was a 2018 Carr League MVP.
Iβd like to thank every single coach that has recruited me throughout this whole process, as well as my family, who have helped me turn into who I am today. I am honoured to announce that I will be continuing my track and football career at York University!! #wholelottared pic.twitter.com/HInQp2VIdL
