2013 Football Canada Cup MVP’s announced

At Sundayā€™s closing ceremonies Greg Hutchins, Micah Teitz and FrĆ©dĆ©ric Paquette-Perrault received the 2013 Football Canada Cup Most Valuable Player Awards.

Nova Scotia kicker and punter, Greg Hutchins received the Special Teams MVP Award. Over the course of the tournament he accounted for 24 of Nova Scotiaā€™s 38 points including all 19 points against New Brunswick in their pair of mini-games. Over the course of the tournament he also punted for a combined 876 yards, averaging 41.7 yards per punt.

Receiving the Defensive MVP Award was Alberta linebacker, Micah Teitz. The Springbank native was a leader on Albertaā€™s defense making tackles all over the field. He earned defensive player of the game honours in Albertaā€™s opening game against New Brunswick.

Quebec quarterback, FrƩdƩric Paquette-Perrault earned the 2013 Canada Cup Offensive MVP Award. The Aigles du College Jean-Eudes product threw for 3 touchdowns and 238 yards while rushing for a 4th touchdown against Alberta in the gold medal game.

Canada Cup all-stars to face Team USA

In the coming weeks, the 2013 Football Canada Cup all-stars will be announced.

This yearā€™s Football Canada Cup all-star team will earn invitations to face Team USA as members of Canadaā€™s under-18 national team.
