CFC40 Class of 2018 OL Isaiah Adams out of Pickering HS in Ontario had the honour of being the first Canadian taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Arizona Cardinals selected the 6’5, 320lb offensive lineman out of Illinois with the 71st overall pick in the 3rd round. Though he played tackle with the Fighting Illini, Adams was announced as a guard on draft night.

Born and raised in Ajax, ON, Adams played both for Pickering high school and the Durham Dolphins of the OSFL and was ranked 73rd overall in the CFC100 Class of 2018. Adams played one season at Garden City Community College in Kansas where he was named to the NJCAA Division I All-American first team. Later committing to play for Illinois, Adams excelled specifically as a run blocker, where he paved the way for fellow Canadian and 2023 NFL draft pick Chase Brown.

Adams was viewed as one of the top guard prospects heading into the draft, and was ranked second overall in the CFC40 Class of 2024. He will likely compete for a starting spot right away.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
