- The AAA playoff bracket is set in Manitoba, and Churchill are now the top seed after taking down Fort Frances 35-13 in the regular season finale. Churchill will now take on Daniel McIntyre in their first round matchup, while Fort Frances will line up against St. John’s. It’s time to find out who the best team in AAA will be this year, and it should be a fantastic race with Churchill, Fort Frances, Dryden and John Taylor all looking like contenders for the grand prize.

- We’ve got one week left of regular season action in Quebec, and Estacades will be grateful they don’t have to head into the playoffs on a low after giving Roger-Comtois their first win of the season in a 23-22 loss. They will take on Triolet to decide the third seed, who have been one of the hottest teams in the division riding a five game winning streak after starting the season 1-2.
- Confederation are off to the Sudbury city championship for the second year in a row after a 51-1 victory over Lively in the semifinals. They enter the rematch with the defending champions Lo-Ellen as the favourites this time around after handling them with ease in their 35-7 victory during the regular season. They will be hoping they can finally rewrite the final chapter with a happy ending after falling to the Knights 28-22 in last year’s championship game. If they manage to pull it off, they will be heading to the NOSSA playdowns with the winners from Sault Ste. Marie and North Bay with a spot at OFSAA hanging in the balance.
- The rest of our ranked programs found little resistance across the country, but the road is about to get a lot tougher in Saskatchewan where the playoffs are now in full swing. It’s going to be a great week of do or die contests with Central taking on Swift Current in the South Rural League finals, and Carlton facing off against St. Mary’s in the North Saskatchewan League championship. In the big cities we’ve got F.W. Johnson looking to defend their title against a tough team from Thom in the Regina 5A city championship bout, and in Saskatoon it’ll be Bishop J. Mahoney looking to stave off Aden Bowman one more time to add another banner to the rafters. The winners of the Regina and Saskatoon titles will then faceoff in the 5A semifinals on November 1st, while on the opposite side of the bracket the champions from the South Rural and North Saskatchewan leagues will square off with a berth in the provincial finals on the line. Let the games begin.
