The Winnipeg native is ranked 34th on the CFC100 Class of 2023 Rankings, and spent his entire high school career north of the border playing at CFC50 Dakota, who he helped lead to the Manitoba DI Provincial finals this past season. Wahl also put on a show at the CFC Tryout and Showcase in Winnipeg last year with a 36.3″ vertical.

The 6’0″, 155lbs defensive back earned his offer from North Dakota in August, and there was never a doubt about where final destination would be announcing his commitment by the end of the month. Wahl will be joining fellow Canadians CFC100s QB Quincy Vaughn, WR Nate DeMontagnac and DB Ethan Ball on campus.

The quartet of prospects will all be looking to carve the same path as CFC100 RB Brady Oliveira, who was selected 14th overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2019 CFL Draft, and won the Grey Cup in his rookie year and 2021 following the pandemic.
