2026 CFC25 Tier II Rankings WEEK 5: New number one program after shocking upset in Saskatchewan

TOP HEADLINES

• There aren’t many headlines to report this week, but that doesn’t make this ranking has any less significant with our former number one ranked program Central suffering a disappointing 31-27 loss to Greenall. The defeat brings an end to the Cyclones 15 game winning streak, and will serve as a wakeup call in the locker room after cruising through their first five games while outscoring their opponents 237-16. On the other side of the field, it’s a huge victory for Greenall, who have struggled the past few seasons after being stalwarts on the CFC25 Rankings since their inception. They still have losses to Yorkton and Swift Current on their resume, but this is the type of win that can galvanize a team and make them believe anything is possible when they are all pulling in the same direction.

• Our other headline this week comes from Saskatoon where the contest between Bishop J. Mahoney and Aden Bowman lived up to all the hype. Bishop J. Mahoney were able to hold on for the 24-21 victory, but Aden Bowman can keep their heads held high knowing they have the capability to go toe-to-toe with the Saints, and anything is possible come playoff time. Right now Bishop J. Mahoney are still in pole position, but we are expecting bedlam once the 5A playdowns begin with what appears to be six programs who believe they have what it takes to win it all if the chips fall their way.
