OVFL: Β Varsity Thunder ends long andΒ tumultuous season with disappointing loss to Wildcats
In the final game of the regular season, the varsity Toronto Thunder fell short in a tight game against the crosstown rivals, the Metro Toronto Wildcats 20-19.
With the loss, the team end one of its roughest seasons in recent years at a pedestrian 2-6, a far cry from the playoff and championship teams of recent years.
Backup quarterback Chris Larsen finished up the season for the Thunder completing 7 of 15 passes for 94 yards and a passing touchdown. Β Larsen connected with receiver Peter Nowaczek for a touchdown score. Running back Jhovan McPherson turned in a solid performance, running for 96 yards and a touchdown.
The Thunder will now have time to regroup during the offseason so the team can get back on track for what will hopefully be a more rewarding 2014 campaign.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
