NSSAFFL Division 2 Awards: Russell named MVP, Cole Harbour dominates major honours

The Nova Scotia Student Athletic Federation Football League (NSSAFFL) has recently announced Division 2 Major Award Winners and All-Stars.

Cole Harbour Cavaliers offensive standout Joel Russell was selected as Division 2 MVP.   In addition to Russell, the Cavaliers also grabbed four more honours including Zack Skerry as Lineman of the Year, Liam Day as Defensive MVP, Joe Russell as Outstanding Punter/Kicker and Gaylin Smith as Co-Special Teams Player of the Year.

Lockview Dragons Morgan Laws was selected as the Division’s Offence MVP.  Sackville High Kingfishers Cameryn Robichaud and JL Ilsley Judges Jamil Saoud were selected as Co-Rookies of the Year.  Lockview Dragons Colin Murney shared with Outstanding Kicker/Punter honours with Russell.  Dartmouth High School Spartans Dimitrius Gordon shared Co-Special Teams Player of the Year honours with Smith.
