St. FX welcomes 4th commit to 2017 class

St. FX brings in New Brunswick commit.

Hailing from Saint John, New Brunswick, Logan Murphy, an offensive lineman from Saint John High School, will be heading over province lines after signing with the Saint Francis Xavier X-Men.

Small schools can often have their advantages. Murphy said that, “The reason I chose to commit to St. FX was because of its close-knit community. Everyone knows everyone! The school is centered around football and it’s many traditions.”

The 6’3, 295lbs Team New Brunswick player is excited to work with the X-Men coaches. “The coaching staff is very qualified, leading the team to back-to-back Loney Bowl championships,” he said.

Murphy played with the Sant John High School Greyhounds in the New Brunswick High School Football League. The future kinetics student said that he was the 2016 Southeastern Division offensive lineman of the year.

With his new home in the X-Men locker room, Murphy will be brining his teammates a little mantra that he has. He said that, “A quote I that I live by, from my head coach, is ‘your paycheck is under your work boot.’”
