Louis-Philippe began his career at the high school level with RSEQ Juvenile Division team Seminaire St. Francois Blizzard.
Currently, the linebacker is playing with CEGEP Division 1 team, Notre-Dame-de-Foy (CNDF). This past season, Louis-Philippe was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Last month, Louis-Philippe experienced the highlight of his career when he travelled to Arlington, Texas as part of the National Junior Team’s under-19 squad that participated in the 2014 International Bowl Series.
This July, he will make the switch from linebacker to the safety position when he represents the nation as a member of Team Canada that will compete at the 2014 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Under-19 World Championships in Kuwait.
Throughout his career, his family have been a main source of support. Also, he credits Notre-Dame Head Coach Marc-Andre Dion for encouraging yet motivating him on the field.
Set to enter his final CEGEP Division 1 season, Louis-Philippe is excited to get the recruitment process under way. Among the early CIS considerations are Laval, Montreal, Sherbrooke and Western.
Louis-Philippe is keeping an open mind and is not closing any doors.
“I will visit any universities that ask for a visit to see if I like it,” he says.
An important decisive factor for the linebacker will be a school that offers a law program as he has future plans of becoming a lawyer.
Additionally, Louis-Philippe plans on attending some NCAA hosted camps this summer to improve his speed, gain some weight so he can become stronger and faster while gaining some recruitment interest south of the border.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
