AUS Loney Bowl back on, Acadia, SMU ordered to play no later than Tuesday

A final decision has been made regarding whether or not the AUS Loney Bowl Championship will be played or not. The judge ruled that Acadia and St. Mary’s University must play the game that was slated for this past Saturday, now must be played no later than Tuesday.

What’s at stake? A chance to advance to the Uteck Bowl to be played against the Yates Cup finalists, the Western Mustangs. The winner of that will be going to the Vanier Cup.

This all stemmed from the original eligibility complaint that St. Mary’s played an ineligible player, Archelaus Jack. The AUS cancelled the original game for Saturday as the investigation was ongoing.

Looks like there will be a game after all, the court has ruled on it!

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
