BC Football Conference Week 1 Players of the Week Presented by the BC Lions

Khalik made his return to the Langley Rams and didn’t waste any time reminding Rams fans how fun he is to watch. Johnson, now wearing number 3 instead of 23 (which he wore with the Rams in 2016, 2017) returned to the Rams after spending the 2018 season with the Carleton Ravens of U Sports. “KJ” as he is commonly known as was a, C&D Logistics BCFC All-Star in both 2016 and 2017.
On Saturday, he made is return to the Rams and hauled in 7 receptions for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns as he led the Rams to an opening weekend victory over the VI Raiders by a score of 42-30.
It was an exciting season opener at Exhibition Stadium in Chilliwack, and Huskers veteran defensive back Desmond Jeansen brought his “A” game against a highly charged Rebels offense. The Huskers came out on the wrong end of a 21-20 score, but the Winnipeg native Jeanson lead the way on the defensive side of the ball with 4 tackles, 1 knockdown and 2 Interceptions for 35 total yards. The Huskers enter the 2019 season with a rebuilt defense, one that looks to be stingy and
loaded with talent.
Desmond, a staple with the Huskers, looks to be a big part of what should be
a solid group in 2019.
In his second year as a Valley Husker, this Mission Senior Secondary product is establishing himself as a reliable specialist for his team. Ethan proved that this weekend when the Huskers hosted the Westshore Rebels in Chilliwack. Homan provided 6 punts for 231 yards, 5 kickoffss for 230 yards while going 2 for 2 on eld goals, (37 & 32 yds.) and 2-2 on PATs.
