BC High School Notable Performance: Laberge & Kankolongo dismantle Knights, #CFC100 Claypool scores 3 TD’s

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Terry Fox QB Jake Laberge threw two touchdown passes scored on a 14-yard run as part of a 33-7 win over St. Thomas More. RB Jeremie Kankolongo had 16 carries for 138 yards, while Kimani Dorsey recorded two INTs in the game.
• St. Thomas More RB Luca Bellini had 17 carries for 137 and his team’s lone touchdown in a 33-7 loss. He also finished with six tackles on defence.
• Lord Tweedsmuir RB Drey Blair had 16 carries for 201 yards and three touchdowns, while fellow RB Colton Zayshley had 16 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown in a 42-13 win over Centennial.
• Handsworth QB Sam Tholl went 15-for-20 for 233 yards and three touchdowns to lift his team to a 49-20 over previously undefeated Rutland. REC Jacob Ghazizadeh had seven catches for 129 yand two touchdowns, while RB Gerard Carasco had 11 carries for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Sharif Sadain had 12 tackles.
• Argyle QB Cole Theobald went 20-for-31 for 243 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 83 yards and another TD, in a 21-6 win over Seaquam.
• West Vancouver QB Erik Frezell threw his first career touchdown pass to FB Parham Harati in an 8-6 win over Salmon Arm. It was West Vancouver’s first conference win since 2012.
• Mt. Douglas QB Gideone Kremler went 15-for-28 for 176 yards and two touchdowns to help the Rams remain perfect with a 28-21 win over New Westminster. RB Declann Michielin rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
• New Westminster QB Nick Hauka, played in place of injured QB Jamie Shiho, connected with REC Justin Swartz on a 28-yard touchdown pass as well as with REC Michael Thind on a 70-yard major in a losing effort to Mt. Douglas.
• Vancouver College RB Michael Le averaged nearly 28 yards-per-carry while rushing for majors of 49- and 62-yards in a 42-14 win over Belmont.
• South Kamloops QB Ben MacDonald threw four touchdown passes, two of them toREC Trey Isaac, in a 49-6 win over Valleyview. MacDonald also had a 65-yard pick six on defence, while Isaac had a 60-yard punt return TD.
• John Barsby RB Justis McKay-Topley had 19 carries for 109 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-7 win over Carson Graham.
• GW Graham RB Von Richardson had seven carries for 115 yards and a touchdown, while RB Jordon Breuker had six carries for 96 yards and a TD in a 40-7 win over Pitt Meadows. QB Gabe Olivares went 12-of-19 for 267 yards and three touchdowns, and also had a 10-yard TD rush.
• #CFC100 Abbotsford REC Chase Claypool hauled in two touchdown passes and ran for another in a 41-14 win over Robert Bateman.
• South Delta RB Grant McDonald scored the lone TD of the game for his team, whileREC Michael Calvert found the end zone for the two-point convert to lift the Sun Devils to an 8-7 come-from-behind win over Notre Dame.
• WJ Mouat QB Noah Dietrich went 16-for-20 for 252 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-20 win over Mt. Boucherie. RB Nelson Lokombo had 20 carries for 142 yards, whileREC Cam’ron Lobban had five catches for 100 yards and a score.
• Holy Cross RB Paolo Lujan rushed for two scores in a 51-19 win over Hugh Boyd.
• Hugh Boyd RB Robbie Conroy had a 70-yard rushing touchdown in a 51-19 loss to Holy Cross.
• Mission DE Matt Cole had a 65-yard fumble recovery TD as part of a 58-0 win over Rick Hansen.
• Prince George RB Isaac Rogers amassed 133 rushing yards, including an 80-yard TD run, plus an interception in a 39-0 win over Nechako Valley. RB Trent Price had 134 yards and a TD, while REC Noah Williams caught TD passes of 15 and 40 yards and had an interception. Prince George faces Duchess Park this week in the Northern Conference championship.
