BC High School Notable Performances: #CFC100 Claypool & Simson lift teams to victory

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Terry Fox RB Taylor Poitras had 15 carries for 130 yards including a touchdown, while teammate RB Jeremie Kankolongo rushed 12 times for 72 yards and also threw a 39-yard touchdown strike in a 39-25 win over New Westminster.
• New Westminster QB Jamie Shiho had passed for 156 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 108 yards with a touchdown, in a 39-25 loss to Terry Fox.
• #CFC100 Abbotsford REC Chase Claypool scored three straight touchdowns and recovered an onside kick to lift his team to a 39-36 win over WJ Mouat. Teammate QB Noah Dietrich went 10-of-25 for 225 yards and three touchdowns passes.
• Vancouver College QB Jacob Samuels threw touchdown passes of 51, 33 and 54 yards to help his team to a 20-0 win over St. Thomas More.
• Hugh Boyd RB Gabe Saklofsky rushed for 148 yards and had a touchdown in a 22-20 win over Seaquam.
• Seaquam QB Tristen Yanciw threw three touchdown passes, including two to REC Masaki Kawanami, in a 22-20 loss to Seaquam.
• #CFC100 Kelowna QB Parker Simson continued his dominating ways going 6-of-7 for 102 yards and throwing three touchdown strikes, while rushing nine times for 95 yards and adding two more scores on the ground in a 37-6 win over Vernon.
• South Kamloops RB Reese Barber had a 30-yard rushing touchdown and a kickoff return for a TD in a 28-6 win over Frank Hurt.
• Notre Dame RB Adam Turrin had a rushing touchdown and also grabbed a tipped pass and took it 70 yards for a score to help his team defeat Mission 28-19.
• Mission QB Inder Herr threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as part of an 81-yard rushing night in a 28-19 loss to Notre Dame.
• Valleyview QB Hunter Koopmans and QB Chad Whitley each had a touchdown run in a 14-0 win over Eric Hamber.
• Nanaimo District RB Nic Johnson had 19 carries for 248 yards and also returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD in a 34-12 win over Spectrum.
• Ballenas RB Matt Price rushed 15 times for 189 yards and a pair of TDs in his team’s 44-0 win over Pitt Meadows.
• Mt. Boucherie QB Tyler Toic threw a 55-yard TD pass and also scored on a two-yard rush in a 48-3 win over Rutland.
• GW Grizzlies RB Von Richardson had eight carries for 104 yards and a pair of TDs helping his team score a huge 33-0 win over John Barsby.
• Holy Cross QB Patrick Shoemay threw two TD strikes and rushed for another to help his team defeat Windsor 20-7.
• South Delta LB Grant McDonald had 14 tackles in a 40-6 loss to Cochrane (Alta.).
