Kongbo had interest from Northern Colorado, Montana State, NCAA Division 2’s Simon Fraser as well as several CIS schools including University of British Columbia, Calgary, Western, Laval, and Manitoba.

This past weekend, he visited with the school and decided soon after. Overall, he is ecstatic to join the NCAA school.

“I’m overwhelmed with excitement and feel extremely blessed to be able to continue my football career at a great reputable University like Wyoming,” expressed Kongbo.  “Meeting the coaches, I felt like they were truly trying to build something special and I really wanted to be a part of that.”

“With a new staff from North Dakota State (FCS Championship), I got to meet Coaches who knew how to build a winning program, which really attracted me to Wyoming.”

Recently, the defensive standout recently played with the Holy Cross Crusaders of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).  For his exceptional play on the field in 2013, Kongbo was named a Provincial ‘AA’ All-Star.
