Late this morning, NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Oklahoma State Cowboys announced on twitter that the team offcially signed their second Canadian recruit from Calgary.

On the Cowboys Signing Day blog, Offensive Line Coach Greg Adkins commented on Richards.
“This is a unique individual,” expressed Adkins. Ā “He was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada.”
“He does not have a lot of football experience and ended up playing in New Mexico. A whirlwind tour, finally getting him into Stillwater, Oklahoma, and couldn’t be more proud of an individual that has worked hard to achieve one his dreams and we look forward to having him on our football team.”
RIchards visited the Cowboys just over two weeks ago. With his commitment, he will be the second Canadian to sign with the Cowboys tomorrow. Ā #CFC100 CLASS 2016 ranked linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga committed to the Cowboys last summer.
Although Richards is a native of Jamaica, he moved to Calgary at the age of 12.Ā Among the teams he has suited up for during his career include Crescent Heights Cowboys of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) and Calgary Colts.
Most recently, the offensive tackle finished up his career with JUCO team New Mexico Military Institute. Furthermore, Richards has represented his country as a member of Team Canadaās under-19 squad.
