Canadian prospects grab more NCAA offers (VIDEO)

A couple of Canadian recruits have added to their NCAA offers this past week.

After CanadaFootballChat.com reported earlier this week that #CFC100 Isaac Berglund received two NCAA Division 1 Preferred Walk-On offers, the 6’3, 235 pound defensive end from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia announced on Twitter last Wednesday that Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Penn State Nittany Lions has come to the plate:

His other preferred walk-on offers are from Texas Tech Red Raiders and Temple Owls.

The #CFC100 has indicated via media sources that he will make his decision in the coming days.

Prior to these preferred walk-on offers, Berglund received three other offers. They included ones from FBS team Robert Morris Colonials as well asΒ Division 2 squads Simon Fraser Clan and West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.

The defensive standout capped off his career with CEGEP Division 1’s Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars by helping the team win the Bol D’Or Championship this past November.

Previous to the Cougars, Berglund suited up for the Dartmouth High Spartans of the Nova Scotia Student Athletic Federation Football League (NSSAFFL). During his time with the Spartans, he was selected as a NSSAFFL Nova Division First-team All-Star at both the linebacker and defensive line positions. Additionally, he was named Spartans Defensive Player of the Year and MVP.

Meanwhile, it’s up to 15 NCAA Division 1 offers for Class 2017 prospect Chuba Hubbard.

Since CanadaFootballChat.com’s last update on February 24th, theΒ 6’1, 190 pound running back from Sherwood Park, Alberta has netted nine more FBS offers – Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, Oklahoma Sooners, Iowa State Cyclones, Texas A&M Aggies, North Carolina Tar Heels, Colorado Buffaloes, Miami Hurricanes, Auburn Tigers and Rutgers Scarlet Knights:

Other offers Hubbard has already received are ones fromΒ Colorado State Rams, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Tennessee Vols, Syracuse Orange, Washington State Cougars and Bowling Green Falcons.

Currently, the offensive standout is with the Bev Facey Falcons of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA). Β During the 2015 season, Hubbard scored 30 majors and rushed forΒ 2,534 yards on 135 carries.

Additionally, he previously suited up for Sherwood Park Rams.

During his career, Hubbard has received several honours including Team, Offensive and Special Teams MVP as well as Outstanding Running Back Award.
