CFC Prospect Game CFC100 WR Owen Herle

The Thunderbirds are hoping to change the complexion of their passing attack with the signing of CFC Prospect Game CFC100 WR Owen Herle out of CFC50 Harry Ainlay. UBC is hoping that Herle can use his frame of 6’6″, 180lbs to become a force through the air at the next level.

U SPORTS CLASS 2023 COMMITS

LB Reece Griffiths

UBC have signed a local linebacker with LB Reece Griffiths out of CFC25 Langley ready to represent his hometown at the next level.

β€œI chose the University of British Columbia because they’re a team that has a lot young talented players, and I want to compete and learn while being on a successful team.”

The 6’2″, 205lbs linebacker says he’s ready to take full advantage of his experience on campus in the weight room and the classroom.

β€œMy goals are to stay consistent with training and to take advantage of the very good coaching on the field and in the weight room,” he explains. β€œI’d also like to balance academics and stay on top of my schoolwork at the same time.”

RB Tyler Robertson

The Thunderbirds have extended their reach across the country with the signing of RB Tyler Robertson out of St. Ignatius. The Thunder Bay product measures in at 5’10”, 215lbs.

DB Thomas Mwenda

UBC weren’t done in Edmonton with the signing of Herle’s teammate DB Thomas Mwenda out of CFC50 Harry Ainlay. The young product weighs in at 6’0″, 180lbs.

CFC100 DB Joshua Catulusi

The Thunderbirds continue their busy offseason with the recruitment of CFC100 DB Joshua Catulusi out of St. Thomas More School in Connecticut. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because he will be joining his brother CFC100 WR J.R. Catulusi on campus next season. The Thunderbirds new corner should make his presence felt lining up at 6’3″, 175lbs.

Alberta Golden Bears

LB Senan Hurley

LB Senan Hurley out of St. Mary’s in Calgary is ready to move north to continue his football career with the Golden Bears.

β€œI chose the University of Alberta for a few reasons, the first being they have a great football program with tons of potential, and they have an exceptional group of players and coaching staff who all have the same goal in mind –Β  winning,” he states. β€œThe second reason is the football program has a great reputation in regard to academics, prioritizing player education. The third reason being U of A’s extraordinary reputation as a school throughout Canada and the world.”

The 6’1″, 180lbs has some lofty goals he’d like to attain during his time with the Golden Bears.

β€œMy goals are to improve not only as an athlete but as a student and excel in my academics and be an Academic All-Canadian as well as being someone who the coaches can rely on to change the tide of the game at linebacker and kicker,” he states.

WR Austin Kemp

Alberta have also signed provincial all-star WR Austin Kemp out of Riffel. The young stud measures in at 6’1″, 185lbs.

CFC100 CLASS 2025 RANKINGS

Calgary Dinos

CFC100 DB Tanner Shaw

The Dinos have dipped their toe into the CJFL recruiting pool with the signing of CFC100 DB Tanner Shaw of the Edmonton Wildcats. Shaw will use his 6’0″, 180lbs frame to help Calgary’s defence next season.

OL Robert McDonald

Hometown talent OL Robert McDonald out of CFC50 St. Francis has agreed to terms with the Dinos. McDonald weights in at 6’2″, 300lbs.

Regina Rams

DB Carter Smith

Regina continues their offseason rampage with the signing of DB Carter Smith out of CFC25 Holy Trinity Academy. The superstar defensive back stands at 5’10”, 180lbs.

CFC100 DB Brandon Wong

CFC100 DB Brandon Wong out of Exeter Academy in New Hampshire will take the next step in his football career in Regina. Wong originally hails from Port Coquitlam, and weighs in at 5’8″, 185lbs.
