Carabins grab sixth #CFC100 recruit

CEGEP offensive lineman signs with RSEQ team.

Another #CFC100 has joined the Vanier Cup Champions.

Frederik-Xavier Duhamel is the newest Carabin.  The 6’1, 280 pound offensive lineman from Sainte-Barthelemy, Quebec has committed to the Vanier Cup Champions for the 2015 RSEQ season.

“I choose the Carabins because I want to play with the best, beat Laval and win championships,” explained the #CFC100 recruit of his decision.  “Also, they believe in me enough to recruit me actively even though the possibility of missing the 2015 season was there.”

“I am not afraid of competition; I want to have an immediate impact on my team and on the league. I prepare myself physically in order to be part of the elite as soon as I step on a CIS field.”

Duhamel was relegated to only two games this past season with CEGEP Division 1 team, Vieux-Montreal Spartiates because he sustained a concussion.

“I just came back to the gym one month ago. I am almost back to my last summer shape already,” offered Duhamel of his status.

With his commitment, Duhamel is the sixth #CFC100.  Defensive back Jean-Sebastian Belisle, running back Gabriel Parent, defensive back Francois Hamel, receiver Louis-Mathieu Normandin and athlete Zacary Alexis are the others.
