Carabins success “attractive” to CEGEP recruit (VIDEO)

Montreal defensive end joins local RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

Benoit Marion will get the opportunity to play at the CIS level in front of the hometown crowd.

The 6’4, 250 pound defensive end has committed to the Montreal Carabins.  Marion will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

“I chose to sign with University of Montréal because the fact that they are number one in the country and Vanier Cup champions is very attractive for a football player,” explained Marion of his decision. “Also the family atmosphere I felt in that team was huge for me and the fact that I can stay in my hometown and play in front of my family and friends was a big part of my decision.”

“Their academic support is amazing and I feel I will fully accomplish my potential on and off the field at the University of Montréal.”

Previous to CEGEP, Marion suited up for RSEQ Juvenile Division 1’s Notre-Dame Cactus.
