Carabins to appeal the loss of game decision (St. Mary’s game) due to ineligible player

The University of Montreal Carabins were informed late Tuesday afternoon of the penalty imposed by the the Quebec student sports federation (RSEQ) following the participation of the player Mike Dubuisson during the football game between the Carabins and Saint Mary’s Huskies on Saturday.

The sanction is to be a loss for the Carabins in the game against St Mary’s.

The Carabins respect the ruling, however, the involvement of several organizations in this matter has caused confusion in the interpretation of the penalty for the player in question.

Given the current process and situation, Mike Dubuisson will not be in uniform for the next game the team. Carabins have an game with Bishop’s University this Saturday, September 24th.
