CEGEP recruit “can’t wait to get started” with Gee-Gees (VIDEO)

Montreal defensive end joins OUA team’s 2016 class

Brandyn Pietrantonio is set to begin his CIS career in the Nation’s Capital.

The 6’2, 240 pound defensive end from Montreal, Quebec has signed with the Ottawa Gee-Gees.  Pietrantonio will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

Ultimately, the defensive standout opted for the Gee-Gees because it provided him the best of both academice and gridiron worlds. Moreover, proximity played a significant role in his decision.

“I decided to go to Ottawa University because I felt it was the best option for me,” elaborated Pietrantonio of his decision. “It also made it a lot easier knowing my past teammates from john abbott were coming with me.”

“Going to school away from home is also something that really interested me which helped with the decision considering Ottawa is not too far away from my home town Montreal.  Studying business is something I would like to do in the future and Ottawa U is able to provide me with that opportunity.”

Pietrantonio comes to the Gee-Gees after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team, John Abbott College Islanders.  Previous to the Islanders, the defensive end suited up for North Shore Mustangs.
