CEGEP recruit takes pride in signing with Vanier Cup Champions

CEGEP offensive lineman newest recruit to join Vanier Cup team’s 2015 class.

Antoine Jalbert wanted to commit to one of the top football programs in the nation.

He believes the Montreal Carabins is that place.Β  Recently, the 6’5, 270 pound offensive lineman from Mascouche, Quebec signed with the Carabins for the 2015 RSEQ season.

Not only did reputation play a factor in his choice, but also location.

β€œI am very proud to join the organisation of the University of Montreal,” commented Jalbert of his decision.Β  β€œThe fact they are one of the best teams in the country weighed in my decision as well as the proximity of the school.”

β€œI wanted to stay as close as possible of my family and I think Montreal was the best option for me. Players are well supported and there is good coach stability, which are two things I was looking for.”

Jalbert comes to the Carabins after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team Lionel-Groulx Nordic.
