CÉGEP10 (coll. div. 1) RANKINGS (4): Gridlock settles in as we near the turning point in the season

1. André-Grasset Phénix (3-0)
It didn’t come as easy as the first two weeks, but Grasset’s offence once again pulled it off with 35 points to seal the victory.

2. Ch.-Lennoxville Cougars (3-0)
After a pair of tight contests to start the year, the Cougars were able to go on cruise control this week with a dominant 36-0 win.

3. Lévis-Lauzon Faucons (2-1)
The Faucons are the only team to make a move this week, but Vanier has a chance to reclaim their spot with a head to head collision this weekend.

4. Vanier Cheetahs (2-1)
If they can put a stop to the CFC60 Joanik Masse show in said matchup mentioned above, it may go a long way in creating a blueprint for the rest of the league to follow.

5. Notre-Dame-de-Foy (1-2)
CNDF came to play last week versus Vanier, which is a good sign, but they’re going to need to get back in the win column soon as we approach the midway point in the season.

6. Vieux Montréal Spartiates (1-2)
If they hadn’t have dropped a pair of close contests to CNDF and now Grasset, Vieux Montréal would be much higher on this list. They still may be one of the top four teams and their performance against Grasset is telling, but they need material wins as evidence.

7. Limoilou Titans (2-1)
Limoilou is flying under the radar on the rankings, but any team would be stupid to sleep on the them. A big win over CNDF this week would warrant a considerable boost in the rankings.

8. Garneau Élans (1-2)
Garneau is another team you can’t sleep on, but their loss to Limoilou last week delivers a blow to their credibility as a playoff contender. They’ll have the chance to correct that this week if they hang with Ch-Lennoxville however.

9. Saint-Jean Géants (0-3)
Strike three for Saint-Jean to start the season, but they’ll have no time to dwell with Grasset next up at bat.

10. Montmorency Nomades (0-3)
It’s been a rough start for Montmorency who are still trying to find their way, and things don’t get any easier this week with an angry Spartiates crew heading in their direction.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
