The place to be last weekend was no doubt Kiwanis Field in St. Catherines, Ontario as the #1 ranked Varsity Niagara Spears played host to the London Mustangs. Also on the slate was another great tussle as the JV Mustangs came to town to take on a previously ranked, highly touted Spears JV squad. Unlike last week’s “featured” match-ups, these one’s were nailbiters with the varsity game coming down to a last second field goal to give the Spears the 31-28 win as they remained unbeaten. Not to be outdone the JV game also had a 3 point differential, this time the visiting ‘Stangs prevailing 32-29.
