Clarkson earned the respect of their opponents this past weekend, beating the Lorain Titans, the #10 ranked team in Northeast Ohio, avenging a 42-21 loss last year.
“I think this was a great football team. I mean, they play the best people, they play Ignatius next week. This team is a good football team” said Lorain head coach Dave McFarland.
CFC100 running back, Brendan Barrow ,had another sensational night, tallying 24 carries for 125 yards and one touchdown while also snagging five catches for 64 yards and one touchdown. His teammate, CFC100 quarterback Nick DeJesus, was poised in the pocket, going 10-for-13 for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Other touchdowns scores by Chey Charles, Jaden Phillips and CFC100 Omari Martin.
“Their (Lorain) running back is special, their QB is special. There is a lot of talent on that Lorain team. A lot of speed, a lot of talent and a lot of athletes. For them (Defense) to shut them down in the second half, they balled out and I’m proud of them”, said Clarkson head coach Larry Jusdanis.
As mentioned, Clarkson travels back to Cleveland this weekend to face St Ignatius, ranked in the top 100 in two different US high school polls.
St Joe’s had a bye this past week. They travel to Connecticut taking on St Thomas More this weekend.
The St. Michael Kerry Blues took the win over St. Andrew’s College, 45-14 on the weekend. The Kerry Blues will host SAC again this coming Saturday, September 29th for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 2:00pm.
As stated above, St. Andrew’s College fell to St. Mike’s Kerry Blues with a final score of 45-14. The two will meet again this weekend for the Kerry Blues Homecoming.
RICC went down early and often against the powerful La Salle Lancers (Ohio). The halftime score was 38-0 for the home team, and after a running clock in the second half the final score tallied 52-0. CFC100 linebacker, Akheem Mesidor, registered 7 tackles, 1 assist, 1 sack, and 1 TFL with some help from fellow CFC100 linebacker, Nate Martey, who had 5 solos, 1 assist, and 2 TFLs. RICC travels to Pennsylvania this week in what should be a winnable game against DuBois, ranked 8549 according to MaxPreps.com.
Upper Canada College beat the Trinity College Bears with a score of 30-7. They will play each other once again this week.

About #CFC10 Non-Public Rankings
The #CFC10 Non-Public rankings are high schools that are not public schools and/or who do not play in Canadian public school leagues. The rankings include and consider all conference and non-conference games. Non-public teams who play in Canadian public leagues will be considered in the #CFC50 high school rankings. All players must be enrolled in the public or private school for it to be considered a school team and eligible for these rankings. Private schools must have a ministry of education identification number to be considered.
All USA scores must be approved by MaxPreps and opponents must be a VARSITY team. Competitions that MaxPreps does not consider games, like scrimmages and showcases, will not be considered. USA team rankings change as the year progresses and this will be considered and updated in these rankings. The rankings are published Tuesday mornings (unless holiday).
