JUNIOR VARSITY (UNDER 17) TOP TEN RANKINGS – WEEK 11 (previous week’s ranking in parenthesis)

1) LONDON JUNIOR MUSTANGS (1) 8-0 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) The defending champs kickoff their title defense this weekend hosting a dangerous Etobicoke team in the Adam Conference Semifinals. Can anyone stop the London ground game??  Next up: vs. Etobicoke (Adam Conference Semifinal)

2) OTTAWA MYERS RIDERS (2) 8-0 OVFL (0-0) OVFL (did not play) JP Cimankinda finished the 2015 regular season with 2127 yards rushing and 29 TDs, both OVFL records.  Next up: vs. Oshawa (Wettges Conference Semifinal)

3) GUELPH JR. GRYPHONS (3) 8-0 OFC (1-0) (won 46-7 vs. Forest City)  Coach Matt Nesbitt’s squad continued their quest for a perfect season with a first round blowout win of Forest City.  Next up: vs. #7 Hamilton (OFC South Final)

4) PETERBOROUGH WOLVERINES (4) 8-0 (1-0) OFC (won 61-6 vs. Oakville) Ryan McNamara led the way with three touchdowns in a game that was never really a game.  Next up: vs. #8 North Halton (OFC North Semifinal)

5) NIAGARA SPEARS (5) 7-1 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) An overtime loss to #1 ranked London is all that’s separating the Spears from an 8-0 mark. Next up: vs. Cambridge (Adam Conference Semifinal)

6) TORONTO THUNDER (6) 7-1 (0-0) OVFL (did not play) The Thunder boast the Wettges conference’s top defense surrendering just 107 points in 2015.  Next up: #10 Cumberland (Wettges Conference Semifinal)

7) HAMILTON HURRICANES (9) 6-2 (1-0) OFC (won 41-24 @ Burlington) The Hurricanes exact revenge in a repeat of their 2014 script, lose the regular season game to Burlington, beat them when it matters most. RB Michael Chris Ike led the way rushing for 307 yards and three scores on 30 carries. Yup that’s right, over 10 yards a pop! Next up: @ #3 Guelph (OFC South Final)

8) NORTH HALTON CRIMSON TIDE (8) 7-1 (1-0) OFC (won 47-14 vs. Toronto Jr. Argos) The Tide will face an improved Argo team which they beat 38-8 in week 2.  Next up: @ #4 Peterborough (OFC North Final)

9) CUMBERLAND PANTHERS (10) 6-2 (1-0) OVFL (won 27-9 vs. Durham West) Issac Brown had 159 yards on only 15 carries for the Panthers, who will get a rematch with #6 Toronto.  Next up: @ #6 Toronto Thunder (Wettges Conference Semifinal)

10) BURLINGTON STAMPEDERS (7) 7-1 (0-1) OFC  (lost 41-24 vs. Hamilton) After opening the season 6-0 and coming off a 56-14 blowout of Hamilton, the Stamps lose two of their final three by a total of 59 points.
