#CFC10 SUMMER RANKINGS – VARSITY (14): Who is the best team of 2015?

All good things come to an end, unfortunately so has the 2015 Ontario Summer Season. The only unfinished business last weekend was the much anticipated OVFL title game featuring the then top ranked Myers Riders against #2 Essex. What had the makings of a classic 1 vs. 2 battle was anything but. Over before it really got started, Essex got their revenge and then some jumping out to a 28-0 first quarter lead and cruising to a 63-28 win over the two-time defending champs.

The Ravens were a machine offensively gaining almostΒ 800Β total yards, rushing for over 500 and passing for over 250. Running back Jacob Savoni rushed for four touchdowns in the win and not to be outdone his mate in the backfield, Braeden Braccio piled up over 300 yards on the ground. The boys from Essex were far from one-dimensional though as QB Anthony Bontorin fired four TD strikes, three of which were toΒ Omar Hayes Williams. Defensively Essex was stellar, keeping the league’s most prolific attack off the board until it was out of reach.

It’s been a great season and it’s sad to see it go, but right around the corner fall seasons will be starting up. For the final time in 2015, here are the #CFC10 FINAL RANKINGS.

Congratulations to the 2015 OVFL Varsity Champs and #CFC10 Champion Essex Ravens!
