#CFC100 Isaac Berglund held out from joining a team on NCAA National Signing Day in early February holding out the hope he would get a Division 1 offer.
That dream became a reality earlier this week as the 6’3, 235 pound defensive end from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia announced on Twitter he received a perferred walk-on offer from Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Texas Tech Red Raiders:

A newcomer to the top 10 this past February, Berglund became the highest ranked Atlantic recruit in the history of the #CFC100 rankings.
Prior to this offer, Berglund received three offers. They included ones from FBS team Robert Morris Colonials as well as Division 2 squads Simon Fraser Clan and West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
The defensive standout capped off his career with CEGEP Division 1’s Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars by helping the team win the Bol D’Or Championship this past November.
Previous to the Cougars, Berglund suited up for the Dartmouth High Spartans of the Nova Scotia Student Athletic Federation Football League (NSSAFFL). During his time with the Spartans, he was selected as a NSSAFFL Nova Division First-team All-Star at both the linebacker and defensive line positions. Additionally, he was named Spartans Defensive Player of the Year and MVP.
The #CFC100 has indicated via media sources that he will make his decision within the next couple of weeks.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
