#CFC100 Tyrell Richards will be heading south of the border to continue his gridiron career.
The 6’3, 218Β pound defensive standout from Brampton, Ontario has committed to NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Syracuse Orange.
He made the official announcement on Saturday on social media:

Richards will officially sign on NCAA National Signing Day in ealry February 2016.
In 2015, Richards helped St. Roch Ravens of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) make history by winning their first ever OFSAA Bowl game.Β Additionally, the defensive standout has suited up for the Brampton Bulldogs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
This past spring, Richards participated in the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OFC) as a member of Team Halton-Peel’s varsity squad.
Representing his home province, Richards participated in the 2015 Football Canada Cup in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.
Among the honours the defensive back has received include 2015 Football Canada Cup All-Star nod, 2015 Football Canada Cup Defensive Player of the Game honours and an OVFL All-Star selection.
Richards was ranked on the #CFC100 CLASS 2016 RANKINGS.
