The 6’4″, 235lbs rush end prospect out of CFC10 Clarkson Football North originally hails from Brampton, and arrived at Football North prior to his sophomore season where he played a full American schedule for three years. Awah also played basketball and volleyball during his youth, but turned to football once his brother began playing in high school. He earned his first offer from Kent State in June 2018, and was one of the first Canadian prospects to commit earlier in the spring.

Awah caught the attention of CFC Lead Analyst, Clint Uttley, after going toe-to-toe with some of the top programs down south.

“Awah has a very impressive frame. It’s difficult to categorize him because he’s built like a linebacker, but a lot of his snaps come as a standup defensive end. He’s an extremely tall, rangy athlete who can change direction and run. He also demonstrates that he can set the edge and rush the passer. Moving forward, he needs to develop his upper body strength and master the art of disengaging and defeating blocks. Otherwise, we think Awah has the potential to be one of the top defensive recruits in 2020.”

Awah will be joining fellow CFC100 Daniel Johnson on campus, who’s entering his third season with the program out of Catholic Central in London, Ontario.
