Schon is a 6’3″, 285lbs offensive lineman, and originally hails from Barrie, Ontario where he played at local powerhouse CFC50 St. Joan of Arc before transferring down south prior to the 2017 season. He also participated at the FPC16 Showcase, and played junior ball with the Huronia Stallions, Vaughan Rebels and Metro Toronto Wildcats. He’s now the first Canadian to commit to Holy Cross since CFC began tracking data back in 2010, but may not be the last if he can help open the pipeline with an impressive career down south.

He leaves behind offers from Stony Brook, Albany, Marist College, New Hampshire and St. Francis, but believes he’s made the right decision joining the Crusaders.

“I can’t begin this without first taking the time to thank my family for all the sacrifices they’ve made to put me in the position I am today. Without their endless love and support I am nothing,” Schon posted on social media.

“Thank you to all the schools that offered me a scholarship and took a chance on me. And finally, a huge, huge thank you to the entire Holy Cross coaching staff for giving me an opportunity that will last a lifetime. I am now honoured to be able to say I am 1000% committed to the College of the Holy Cross. I am officially a Crusader.”
