CFC100 Kail Dava officially signs with Tennessee Tech

After years of hard work and dedication behind the scenes, CFC100 Kail Dava out of CFC10 Clarkson Football North finally got his moment in spotlight. He had an interesting trio of offers from Kent State, Delaware State and Tennessee Tech, but apparently he wanted to get as far away from Canada as possible with his commitment to Tennessee Tech. Proximity can sometimes play a big influence, especially when you’re switching countries, but clearly Dava was excited about life in the Volunteer State, and formed a quick bond with the Golden Eagles staff that ultimately led to his signature.

“I really hit it off with the coaches during my visit, I think the connection between a player and their coaches is the most important.” Dava explains. “Also the facilities and campus were a big factor as to why I decided to become a Golden Eagle.”

Dava’s nine year career began with the Innisdale Invaders and Huronia Stallions, then he took the dream one step further joining Clarkson Football North, who play a full American schedule. Now he’s preparing to take the next leap of faith, and is confident he’s made the right decision by choosing Tennessee Tech.

Dava is the first Canadian commit for the Golden Eagles program since we started tracking back in 2010, and maybe this will open the door for a few more down the road, including CFC100 Taylor Burns who also has an offer on the board. Tennessee Tech are members of the FCS Ohio Valley Conference, and are looking to build from the bottom up after finishing 2018 with a 1-10 record.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
