Djabome originally hails from Quebec where he played high school football at École Secondaire Jacques-Rousseau. He opted to leave home to continue his career in Ontario last season joining the ranks at Canada Prep, which turned out to be a wise decision with the extra exposure helping attract some NCAA interest.

Originally all the offers rolling in were from the U Sports level including UBC, Queen’s, St. FX, St. Mary’s and Laurier, but that changed at the beginning of June with his first NCAA offers from Buffalo and Maine. Rutgers jumped on the scene with an offer on June 27th, and by the end of the nigh Djabome had announced his commitment to the Scarlet Knights.

Djabome is the first Canadian to commit to Rutgers since CFC100 DL Wesley Bailey, but they also received some love in the transfer portal from former number one ranked CFC100 DB Patrice Rene, who now plays for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after finishing his NCAA career at Rutgers.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
