#CFC100 LB Ogbongbemiga signs with NCAA’s Oklahoma State Cowboys (VIDEO)

Today, #CFC100 Amen Ogbongbemiga realized a gridiron dream.

NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team has announced that the  6’2, 209 pound linebacker from Calgary, Alberta has signed his Letter of Intent with the team:

On the Cowboys Signing Day Blog, Defensive Coordinator Glenn Spicer commented on the #CFC100 recruit and newest Cowboy.

“Amen grew up in Houston and moved to Canada so he kind of got off the radar in the United States, which was good for us,” expressed Spicer.  “Watching his junior tape, I was intrigued by the space they had to cover in Canada.”

“Then when we got him to camp last summer, I was impressed with how his body is changing. He’s probably in the 215 range. He’s going t o fill out and get stronger. He’s another one who tackles well. He doesn’t miss a lot of tackles. He has a grasp of defensive schemes. He’s very instinctive. I think he’s a rare find.”

Ogbongbemiga completed his career with Notre Dame Pride of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) where he helped the team their third consecutive Provincial Tier 1 Championship in 2014. That same year, he was selected as a Calgary Division 1 All-Star.
