CFC100 Liam Dick picks Pitt on Signing Day

CFC100 Liam Dick turned into a prized possession in Power 5 recruiting circles, and after narrowing his list down to five, the big man outta CFC10 Clarkson Football North finally signed with the Pitt Panthers.

NCAA EARLY SIGNING DAY TRACKER

High quality offensive linemen are hard to come by, so it doesn’t matter what side of the border you’re from – scouts will gravitate towards you. That was the narrative for Dick, who entertained FBS offers from North Carolina, Louisville, Fresno State, Washington State, Kent State, UMass and Liberty, which was one of the more impressive CFC100 lists. Things got a little more interesting when he narrowed it down to the first five schools mentioned above, but the Panthers were first to the pole, and enjoyed the last laugh on signing day,

“It was a big offer. It was my first Power 5 offer and I am extremely blessed for the opportunity and grateful to the Pitt coaching staff for believing in me.”

Dick hails from Milton, Ontario playing for the Guelph Jr. Gryphons and Mississauga Warriors growing up before finishing his high school career at Clarkson Football North. He joins teammates CFC100s Kail Dava and Clark Barnes who joined in on the signing day festivites. The Panthers also signed CFC100 Jared Wayne earlier in the day, making them the first two Canadian prospects to sign with the program since we started tracking back in 2010.

Pitt just finished their sixth season in the ACC under the guidance of Head Coach Pat Narduzzi, and can consider it a success earning a berth in the Sun Bowl against Stanford after seeing their nine year streak snapped in 2017.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
