It was a weekend to remember for CFC100 OL Sidy Sow out of Eastern Michigan, who was selected 117th overall in the 4th round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

The Bromont, QC native will be joining the Patriots after a successful six year career at Eastern Michigan. He took a redshirt year his first year on campus in 2017, but didn’t take long to become a permanent fixture on the offensive line earning 11 starts in 2018, and followed up by being named Second Team All-MAC Preseason and All-MAC honors by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview as a redshirt sophomore when he started all 12 games. Sow then started to receive serious attention the following year earning Third-Team All-Mac after starting six games during the pandemic shortened season, and would finally breakthrough as one of the top lineman in the conference earning First-Team All-Mac honours in 2021. Sow finished up his career with the Eagles by helping his squad rally to a 9-4 record, and a coveted bowl victory with a 41-27 win over San Jose State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
