Standing at 6’3″, 185lbs, Macleod began his high school career in Brampton playing at David Suzuki, while also spending the summer months playing for the Mississauga Warriors. He made the move to Connecticut prior to his junior season, and spent some time visiting NCAA campuses like Boston College and local UConn.
With potential to be an elite U Sports calibre prospect, it appeared like one of the top schools in Ontario might land his signature, but then the script took another turn as he announced in April he’d be attending JUCO Shasta College in California, who notably helped produced CFL legend Ricky Ray.
